Early Summer.

I don’t know how’s the weather where you’re living, but here in Paris it’s really really hot! We had 27° two days ago, it’s outstanding especially at this time of the year. Hotness means light dresses/skirts/shorts, and also long walks in Paris ♥. That’s why last week I bought shorts and new sunglasses (among a lot of make-up) ! I’ve been thinking, I always thought that Autumn was my favorite season but I’ve changed my mind, Spring is. I love everything about Spring.

Last week I started reading David Nicholls’ One Day, has anyone read it? It’s an amazing, heart-breaking story you should really give it a try. I’m almost done with it, I don’t want to, but I need to know how it ends. For the lazy ones, they’re going to make a film based on the book starring Anne Hathaway (I still don’t like her except in The Devil Wears Prada which I watched again last week – guilty pleasure :D) and … Jim Sturgess (that I adoooored in Across the Universe). I’m not really looking forward to it, I tend to be disappointed with adaptations,  but time will tell.

Anyway I’ve to go, I’m enjoying sun in my boyfriend’s garden.
Lots of love.

  1. Watch Love and Other Drugs, then you’ll like her! My friend was reading it while we were in California, and it has made me really want to read it now too! As I’ve been in California, I’ve been enjoying the sun anyway, but it was super nice to get back to some beautiful weather here in the UK!

  2. I watched Love and Other Drugs, I liked her character but not her… I’m still not over the fact that she ruined Jane Austen in Becoming Jane I think. I’m glad you had a great time in California <3

  3. It’s been quite warm here, too (not nearly as warm as where you are, but for here, it’s warm). I’m so glad to finally put away my winter coat and mittens!

I’m in need of a good book to read – just finished a fantastic one, “Nocturnes” by Kazou Ishiguro, I highly recommend it – so I will definitely check out “One Day”. I third the other commenters’ sentiments. Love and Other Drugs is fantastic. I’m not a big Anne Hathaway fan either, like her but she’s not a favourite, but she won me over in Love and Other Drugs.

  4. You’re so going to cry. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉 I don’t like the thought of Anne Hathaway as Emma, I didn’t icture her like that at all. But maybe the movie will be good.

  5. oh i wish it would get that hot here! so far our highest temperature has been 15, and it was raining that day! the things you bought look lovely, the pattern on your shorts (skirt?) looks beautiful!

  6. thanks for the book recommendation. i’ll definitely check it out. the weather here in southern california is oddly gloomy. i’m not a big fan of the heat but it’s been awhile since we’ve seen the sun

  7. I really really want to read One Day. It’s next on my reading list, but I keep falling asleep when I sit down to read! So bad.
Love that top – H&M right? I got it in the nude colour x
