Iceland, saying yes to adventures

It’s one of these posts I am struggling to write, I’ve been postponing it for a few weeks now.

Some of you know this, but I went to Iceland last year, it was an opportunity I had and I just said yes.
Saying yes to adventures is something I did quite a lot last year. I used to say no for different kind of reasons, reasons I now despise and regret.

You can not be your own obstacle in life, people already do that for you; you have to sometimes go against the flow and say yes. Be bold. Be adventurous. You will definitely be grateful later on. I know I was!

Iceland was the best trip I took last year, the shortest, however definitely the best one. It might be because I realized something important there, something I needed to know about myself and life. Or just because Iceland is one hell of a magical place.

I won’t go into details about my trip, the main reason being I’m having a hard time talking about it to people, except some; and also because it feels like it’s too personal. Hence I can’t talk about it to everyone. Just go there with an open mind and be prepared to have your heart blown-away! I couldn’t stop being in awe of the magical atmosphere there’s there.

Just know this : I was deeply moved and inspired there. Iceland is magical, beautiful, mystic and unique. I actually plan to go back there for a longer period of time, and I could totally see myself working there. Out in the wild. I am lucky to live in a beautiful city, to feel comfortable in it. I have my bookshops, my cafés, my routine, my parks and spots all across town to feel resourced and happy. What I miss the most is silence. Stillness and serenity. I did not understood I missed that until I arrived in Iceland.

It’s a cliché, but it changed and moved me deeper that I could ever imagine; it made me even more grateful to be alive, to be able to travel and see breath-taking landscapes, to be able to be amazed and in awe of Nature.

Some of the pictures are available as prints on my shop !

  1. Coucou Candice,

C’est au moins la 3ème fois que je reviens contempler les magnifiques photos de cet article, je ne m’en lasse pas, elles sont envoutantes. Je suis particulièrement fascinée par le gros plan de l’iceberg *o*
