2015 Challenges Review and 2016 Challenges

2015 and 2016 Reading Challenges
The pile of books I’ve read in 2015. Some are missing, some were read on my kindle.

That’s it, we went through 2015 in just a second and I thought it was time to review the reading challenges I pledged to fulfill.

Read 52 books. It’s ok if I don’t reach my goal though.
I’ve read 53 books and I feel bad about not reading more this year. 2014 was a better year for reading !

Read at least one graphic novel
I read twenty-four graphic novels. Yes. Twenty-four. It’s a huge improvement for me and I discovered lots of lovely authors and I want to read many more!

Do read-along with my friend Marion @ The Illiterate Reader
We did! Perhaps not as much as I/we thought; and what do you say Marion, let’s read more together in 2016!

Read at least three « classics »
Read four! That was an easy one.

Reduce by half (at least) my physical TBR pile. It’s definitely going to be the hard one of the list.
Not even close… hum hum.

… and now in 2016.

I want to read at least as much as I did in 2015, but I would love to read even more. I need to shake up my schedule a bit and get better at time management. Well, we will see how it goes, right?

I would love to read more sci-fi books this year, fantasy, and re-read Harry Potter. It’s been on my list for a few years now and never did it.

Like I said earlier, I want to management more efficiently my time, and so it means, take me more time for personal projects, for making videos, writing on my blogs. This last year was eventful to say the least and I didn’t get to do as much as I wanted to do. Rest was needed because exhaustion was predominant in my life. Let’s hope I’ll write more on The Beautiful Stillness in 2016!

I’m also interested in you, so what are your challenges for 2016? Did you fulfill the ones you set for 2015?

Have a happy new year and a great day!

  1. Funny how you’re doing long-distance read-along, must be cool!

I also need to read more sci-fi and to dedicate more time to book reviews or to my blog. here’s to 2016 being a good year for time management and reading!
