One of the things I loved the most about our trip to London was definitely going to museums.
First we went to the Tate Britain which was not far from the flat we were renting. It was such a lovely quiet (and sunny!) morning so I basically enjoyed the short walk we had from the Vauxhall bus station to there. The most amazing experience was when I finally saw some of my favourite paintings in the world, Turner’s being one of my greatest loves, it was so moving to see some of his work with my own eyes. I might have shed some tears. Might have.
However, the one that took my breath away architecture-wise speaking was definitely The Natural History Museum. The building was utterly splendid, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The Parisian one looks ridiculous next to this one. Really thought for a second that I was in Hogwarts. The only down side was that it was absolutely crowded and that we were quite exhausted so we could not really appreciate our visit.
I hope you will enjoy my pictures. I know there’s a lot of them… but I couldn’t resist!
