If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve been posting a picture every single day with the hashtag #100happydays.
We live in times when super-busy schedules have become something to boast about. While the speed of life increases, there is less and less time to enjoy the moment that you are in. The ability to appreciate the moment, the environment and yourself in it, isthe base for the bridge towards long term happiness of any human being.
Basically, everyday you’ll have to post a picture of what made you happy that said day, you can post it on facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest or tumblr.
I have started this a few weeks ago, and it has made me appreciate little tidbits of my life even more.
A couple of years ago I tried to do (two years in a row – I failed both times) the 365 projects with my DSLR camera. It was actually really painful because I was focusing too much on taking a picture of something original and pretty, and the picture didn’t reflect on my day. I was doing it the wrong way.
With this #100HappyDays project it’s completely different, I always found something good about my day so I have to take a picture of it.
I don’t say that my life is amazing & gorgeous; it’s pretty boring when you come to think of it : I am 5 days a week at the office, but even though, I always have tidbits that are brighter than others.
I love being able to look back at my days thinking « Yes – in that moment I was very happy », even though I had a dreadful day, but thanks to that photo I know that I was happy, even for a short time.
Are you taking the challenge ? Does it interest you ?
